being a little girl

This week I get to make charm necklaces, braid hair, and make dirt pies, along with everything else that a little girl should do, and should always do every now and again, even at 22.

i wish

What I would give to be back here watching the sun go down with a glass of wine in hand.

Downtown Franklin

I'm pretty sure my love for Downtown Franklin is constantly growing. There is something about this historic, yet small area that makes me feel good. Walking up and down Main St., seeing a movie in the newly renovated Franklin Theatre, smelling fresh basil on the street, sitting on a cannon in the roundabout, window shopping at The Iron Gate-- it's such a perfect way to spend a summer day with some ice cream in hand.

Celebrations and Good-byes (for now)

1. Cornfield off Del Rio, off to say good-bye to my sweet Jenny
2. Dinner at Cabana for Ana's 22nd
3. Jenny's farewell dinner for Spain
4. Binky
5. Summer rolls at Basil Asian Bistro (so good, a must try restaurant)
6. My failed attempt at taking a picture of the moon with my car as the tripod. It was such a good night that I don't care. It ended with a pretty nighttime sky.

Arrington Vineyards

Nothing is better than hanging out at a vineyard all evening with your favorite people, especially when it's a surprise for one of them. Christian was coming home and had no idea that we were throwing him a fun vineyard surprise for his birthday. Not to mention, we actually celebrated three birthdays that night.

Arrington Vineyards is the perfect setting for relaxation, romance and celebration. With complimentary wine tasting and live music on saturday nights, you can't go wrong with a bottle of wine and a picnic basket in hand.

I wouldn't mind going more often this summer. I wouldn't mind one bit.

The Sheraton

A friend from school is leaving his job to venture out to China and then L.A. His boss decided to rent a penthouse for him at the Sheraton Hotel for friends and colleagues to come and party with him. Lucky man.

It was a fun night of meeting new people and catching up with people I haven't seen in a while. How great would it be to have all your friends come to your send off?

All the pretty miniature horses and donkeys

A farm in my neighborhood has about ten new miniature horses, who now accompany miniature donkeys and the other animals on the farm. I think there is something about a horse that makes them the most perfect animal. They are beautiful and strong, and carry an air about them that seems to be all knowing.

The miniature donkeys and horses are beyond cute. Bunny, one of the miniature donkeys, likes to be scratched and lay in your lap. Of course, now I want him.

It was a fun day to just observe these kind animals and stroke their manes.
