Madrid

I finished up my two-week adventure in Madrid, Spain, also known as the hottest place ever. We couldn't have stayed in a better apartment. We covered the city by walking constantly and drank plenty of sangria to reward ourselves after our excursions. Our absolute favorite part of Madrid was our last night because we were lucky enough to witness authentic Flamenco dancing. If you ever find yourself in Madrid, go see a Flamenco dance every night.

Barcelona

I was able to explore two countries abroad on my latest trip to Europe. After Prague, Ashley and I headed south to Barcelona, Spain! Here we laid on the most crowded beach I've ever seen, and I fell in love with the city's architect, Antoni Gaudi. His magnificent church the Sagrada Familia, which started construction in 1882 and is projected to complete in 2013, is seriously mouth dropping. After a long uphill hike to his park and once home, Parc Guell, we had lunch overlooking the city and his mosaic work. We watched the fountain light show at Montjuic, while a Harley-Davidson festival was going on of course, and we finished off the trip with a sailboat ride at sunset. Despite our language barriers, it was a successful first part to Spain!

Prague :: part 2

So, here is my last post on Prague before I move on to Spain. This post primarily consist of the St. Charles Bridge because I love it. On our last two full days my friends and I went paddle boating on the Vltava River with mini bottles of wine and just sat for hours. On our last day on the little boat, right before we paddled in, we told each other to stop and soak in our surrounding. We all just sat there quietly starring at this bridge. I want to thank Stephanie, Jenny and Ashley for being such wonderful friends to share experiences like this with. It really was perfect.

Prague :: part 1

After my recent trip to Europe with four of my best friends all I can tell you is to go on a trip. Right now. One of the greatest gifts of this world is that there is so much beauty in it to see. So, go see it.
