girls night and night walks

There is nothing more relaxing than laying around a living room with girls, sipping on wine, playing music, eating chocolate and talking about everything and anything.

To top it off, Downtown Franklin was deserted and the weather was perfect because a storm was about to come. Relaxing nights such as this are always needed.

Europe on film

Again, I will restate my love for film. My little point-and-shoot camera creates perfect grain, interesting lighting and the slightest of blurriness.

My favorite thing to do is see for the first time what my photos look like. You never know how they are going to turn out.
These images are from my study abroad trip to Paris last summer.
These two photos are from Normandy, France. I was studying WWII while I was there, and I was lucky enough to visit Normandy. The first is of the American Cemetery and the next is Omaha Beach.
This photo was from a weekend getaway to Amsterdam.

I love Europe.
I love film.

Blogging

I wish desperately that I could blog about something new, but I'm unable to due to my new job that I just started at Tory Burch! I love photography and writing about new things, but when my time is eaten up like this it makes it difficult. Once things calm down I will be back to blogging like it's my job. Because I look at it that way. Love.

Tuscaloosa

This summer I made a wonderful friend named Katie who was interning in Nashville. She instantly clicked with our friends. This past Labor Day weekend she invited all of us to stay in her home for a fun, lake and food-filled three days where we tailgated and stayed up late every night. Her parents couldn't have been any more hospitable; they cooked for us every meal, had snacks and fresh flowers by our beds, laid out new toiletries on our sinks, made home-made cheese dip for us on the rainy Monday even though we just ate, got a boat for us to use out on the lake, told hilarious stories, introduced us to the cutest little girl named Wells, and wrote sweet notes to each of us at the end of the trip. You name it, they did it. We are all so grateful for such a wonderful weekend.

Happy Birthday Emily

Six years ago Emily was lying on the floor in my basement, hanging out with my brother after a long day of summer.

I always thought she was one of the most beautiful people I'd ever seen.
With my film camera in hand, I snapped this picture of her.

It's been three years since she left us, and I can't help but be reminded of her whenever I see thistles.

Happy Birthday Em, you're still one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen.
