Carly + Tristan engaged

There was constant laughter at Carly + Tristan's sweet engagement session. We were originally schedule to shoot during the ice storm and rescheduled for what turned out to be THE most perfect day. We strolled through the streets of Nashville, enjoyed the weather, and took some photos along the way. I loved spending the evening with this beautiful, kind couple. 

Erica + Adam engaged

THIS couple. They showed up to our engagement session like two old friends who couldn't wait to catch up... Erica and Adam are getting married in Franklin this September, but until then they live in two different states, counting down the days. Sometimes I felt like I was intruding on intimate moments between the them... which is the exact reason why I love engagement sessions. You get to take a couple hours out of the day, without any wedding planning, travel arrangements, work problems or any other distractions and truly focus on what this rare time represents. You get to simmer in that anticipation of the next several months with that one person... A time that can seem dragging and fleeting all at the same time. Erica and Adam seem to truly grasp that importance. 

Steph + Nick engaged

Okay, I'm going to be honest and say this post will get a bit sappy because it is about one of the people that mean the most to me in this world. When I was nine years old I met a girl who permanently became part of my life. I went through the most awkward stages with her, and I can honestly say she knows everything there is to know about me. There aren't too many people that know everything about you if you really think about it... everything. She is one of those people who are a part of you. I have said countless times that I strive to be more like her because of how she makes those around her feel. Then there is Nick, a guy that walked up to Steph at a pizza place one night, thinking she was "someone else", and now, a little over a year later, they are getting married.

He is perfect for her. Over the 17 years I have been in Steph's life I have never seen her laugh this much. You always want the best for your friends, and I am beyond happy that she has found it.
