Sullivan's Island:: the best day

I was lucky enough to recently go visit my cousin Lauren in Charleston, SC for a wonderful few days. Lauren had moved to Charleston from Denver back in October of 2011, when she quickly accepted an amazing event planning internship and moved her life to the East Coast. How awesome is that?!

During the trip we ate entirely too much, ran along the Battery and through town, fell in love with Spanish Moss, danced over red velvet cake, and spent an entire day on the beach. The beach was our favorite. The sun was out, yet there was a coolness to the air, so we balanced the two by wearing shorts and sweaters. We packed a lunch consisting of various dips, apples and home-made cookies. We collected seashells, people watched, poked jellyfish and had much needed conversation. We were surrounded by birds. It took up the entire day, and it was perfect.

Daniel & Lauren: engagement party

One of my dearest friends, Lauren, is getting married! I couldn't be more happy for her and Daniel; They truly are a perfect match. Their engagement party was a hit, full of games, food and friends, and I cannot wait to continue celebrating their future!

Mene and Paul's Wedding :: Part 2

Here is part 2 to the fall wedding I shot back in November along side Sarah E. Photography in Fairview at Camp Marymount. Again, the weather couldn't have been better, and Mene and Paul couldn't have been happier; they were actually glowing with excitement. :: All below photos taken by Madi Flournoy Photography ::

Christmas time

This Christmas seemed to fly by; We were celebrating Thanksgiving and then all of the sudden it was the new year. Regardless of the quickness, this Christmas was wonderful all the same. I continued the annual gingerbread house building party, took the Durios' family photos, now including two new puppies, luckily witnessed our Albino deer graze through our woods, spent Christmas with my parents at Jared's home, and had a Sips n' Strokes party with Brent and Darcie in our kitchen. I wonder what next year will bring.
