Angel Oak

A couple weeks before my trip to Charleston I went to one of my favorite events my hometown, Franklin, TN, hosts. It was the annual Main Street Festival where vendors of all kind come to sell and mingle: jewelry, food, clothing, furniture, paintings, and of course, photography.

One particular photographer, who only shot in black and white, had some pretty incredible shots. There was one that caught my eye: a beautifully haunting tree. My mom was with me and said, "Madi, you need to take shots like this on your trip to Charleston." To my luck, the man stepped in, "Charleston? Well, that's where this tree is."

Perhaps it was meant to be.

My B&W attempt like the original I saw.

Little Olivia with big Angel Oak trunk.

Let's just say. I like trees.
