I attended school in the city, but I never found the town to be attractive in sight. It had some great hangout locations and winding backroads, but other than that and class I pretty much found myself in the Nashville area.
However, I have to say, Main St. in Murfreesboro is actually a beautiful, popular street to walk, drive, or bike up and down. It leads to a town square that reminds me slightly of Downtown Franklin. The architecture is interesting and the non-chain restaurants have some great food.
Jared and I recently spent a large portion of the day on the street on some, for me, uneasy bikes. We ate at what looked like a deserted restaurant called Three Brothers, which is known for primarily having evening crowds. The food was great, along with the rest of the day.
