Engagement sessions can be favorite kind of sessions for multiple reasons, but the main one is getting to slow down and know the people I'm photographing. Like Sydney + Pat, they were kind enough to laugh at my ridiculous jokes, and we got distracted for far too long once we discovered we all had a deep love for Game of Thrones.
Sydney + Pat became themselves in front of me as each minute went by. I would hear them talk about their long relationship from childhood and capture their sweet expressions as they spoke. They invited me in. It goes without saying that my new friends' wedding day has become even more important to me than it already was.
